Dispatcher Duties
- Paperwork - Transmit potential shipper or broker of the carrier's paperwork including; Operating Authority, IRS form W-9, Insurance paperwork.
- Truck Availability - Post truck on the load boards for the available date to load.
- Finding Freight - Contact Freight Brokers, Freight Forwarders, and Shippers about available loads and negotiate the rate for the load.
- Credit - Check credit on the Broker and Shipper and to arrange payment for the Carrier or prepay if necessary.
- Insurance - Contact the Carrier's insurance company and have the Broker or Shipper included as a "Certificate Holder" on the Carrier's policy.
- Paperwork Transfers - Freight Dispatcher will arrange for all paperwork transfers in relation to the load. Will fill out setup packages with Freight Brokers, Shippers and also rate confirmation to have the Carrier set up for payment.
- Dispatch - Transfer all information to the Carrier for pickup and delivery points and times.
- Delivery, Invoicing & Billing - once the Carrier has delivered the commodity and Dispatcher has received a copy of the proof of delivery we will handle all invoicing and billing.
